Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Sometimes I feel that I'm very far away certain people despite the fact that I tried as hard as possible to know as well as I could..

    For example:
A friend from school that I met since last year,
We get on great, we slack off each other, we talk etc.. and basically we just clicked..
There is no barrier between us.. Feels like we are very free and open..
    Everything is great..
Why can't every one that I meet be like that..?

Often I'd say to myself "oh that will offend him/her" with them people that I don't feel close to..
Careful process goes through my head before decision is made..
    Anyway to help that situation?

I'm not too sure what you're on about.

Are you talking about the difference between friends and aquantences? or that you don't feel close to (most of) the friends you have?

At the end of the day a lot of it is down to you anyway. Most people will open up if you open up to them first.. but it can often be difficult to break the ice.

Well, my advice is the same.

Some people I think just aren't worth getting close to, while others would have the same problem as yourself and not know how to go about it.

And personally speaking, a lot of 'friends' I've had over the years could be classed as friends by circumstance rather than by choice - the 'closeness' you talk about wouldn't exist. Making real friends actually takes a bit of effort on your part, but then I'm often of the opinion that if it feels like effort it's probably not worth it.

Not everyone gets along completely with everyone else, there's no harm in that.
