    Another method would be to get a tv card it would cost roughly the same but you could also watch tv on your comp.

    Not all TV cards would work for this. For example, the WinTV PVR250 has about a 2 second delay on the signal coming in and the display on screen. That 2 seconds makes playing any games impossible.

    I got this one on lik-sang (the pal version) and it was a piece of crap. Never work for me.

    Get an internal TV card. Try to avoid ones like Johnk described with unreasonable latency. Some GFX cards have VIVO chips which allow them to work like a tv card.
