It's not his fault. It was his outfield teammates. Since all 22 players have to be in their own halfs at a kick-off all Leverkusen had to do was get one of their players to stay in the oppositions half until the goalie got back and the game could not legally be restarted.

Did that happen?? Was the goal legal??
The team originally looked stunned but then seem to smile... as if it didnt count?

It did count, I remember seeing it a while back. Hans Jorg Butt was the keeper involved.

Surely if the Goalie takes teh penalty he should be given adequate time to get back to his goal line by the ref?

Only time ref checks with keeper is at start of each half.

That's class. What a kick in the teeth for the keeper. He did seem to spend a good while celebrating though. Brings back memories of Schmeichel steaming down the pitch after a foray up front!
