This is one for the target shooters

Does anyone know how to stop the pistol grip twisting on the Walther KK200?

It's on as tight as it will go without shearing either the bolt or the alan key, yet it still twists.....

Can't really be done by tightening with the allen key, OP, you have to instead find a position where your trigger arm puts no torsion on the pistol grip. Think of it not as a problem that the grip twists, but a diagnostic that shows when your elbow isn't coming down to the same spot consistently (*poke, poke*).

Plus, with the reports of Walther stocks breaking at the rails because of the stock being sintered rather than milled, you really don't want to be cranking that allen key as hard as you can - you're just putting the weakest part of the stock under serious stress and risking the pistol grip snapping off in your hand. I've seen it happen, and right before a competition too.

Meanwhile, back on topic, my rifles. Just catalog photos right now, I've no real decent shots of them at the moment.

    All looks very expensive

  • Registered Users Posts: 40,038 ✭✭✭✭Sparks

The rifle's about €1600, the rest of the gear maybe €5-600 or so. But that's for what was at the time top of the line gear and custom made shooting clothing. If I knew then what I know now... well, actually, I'd have gotten the same rifle, but I'd have gotten a cheaper jacket and trousers :D And a lot of this stuff you pick up over a period of several years. You know the story yourself Riggser.

Oh, and the mascot was free, as he was a gift from some friends with rather odd senses of humour :D

    DSCF2617blog.JPG

I suppose I'll have to retire him except for the grudge matches really (I mean, what would any parent think when bringing a junior to the range? ), but I *had* to see the reaction in Bisley to having him sitting at my firing point :D

A bear in bondage ... not very PC ..
All it's missing is a pair of furry handcuffs and you'd have the lot from channel 4 and the "Pres" girls bleating on about torture devices..

At least he isn't wearing cammo...
