Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I'm glad to see him there and I think he well deserves to be there... just I can't help feel a bit sickened by the thought that if he were still with Cork City, he would not even get called up for a friendly game, let alone for a crucial World Cup qualifier.

The usual argument: "playing in Eircom league you don't have the same quality of opposition etc. you need people who are tested in a better league" which is usually valid, in my opinion that excuse doesn't really apply here because of the timing... because Doyle went from a professional club in Cork City playing in Uefa Cup to a professional club at a slightly higher level who were not playing anything at all, it being summertime. He has only had a handful of games with Reading.

It reminds me of the time a few years ago when David Connolly was playing for Excelsior - the Dutch nobody feeder team for Feyenoord afaik, but thats good enough for the Irish management. As long as its not lowly Ireland.

yeah, it seems kerr has forgotten where he came from. how much could he have improved in 2 months? he played consistently well against better teams in europe than championship clubs...(nantes, nijmagen, malmo)

If he was still eligible for the U21 squad Givens is building and Morrison wasn't suspended he might not have gotten a callup anyway. Kerr just can't win though.
