Yes it's gonna turn wild now across much off the country as a potent
and developing secodnary LP races across the country.

Watch out for severe gusts, very heavy rain and be on the look
    out for tornadic activity.

The worst of this should arrive in DUBLIN at around 3-4pm

Area where possible tornadic activity will affect are areas around
Louth, Down and around that region...

An interesting afternoon non the less!

And the first of the 2005 Autumn season for me :D

We could see gusts of 70mph as the front passes through!

Radar shows that most of the rain has passed. Sunny but windy here in south county Dublin.

    That's rather alarmist!

It hasn't been that windy today. We had a couple of showers. And where are the tornados?

Well actually two tornadoes have been reported in Ireland.

As usual the BBC describe it as a "mini tornado" even though there is no such thing,a tornado is a tornado!.
It was a very windy day down here in Waterford, particularly at lunchtime.

The triple point was in NI where the reported Tornado was, any suggestion that it was ever gonna happen in DUBLIN ..well.. is amusing.

It rained a little here, pretty much as expected..the hype was good though lol..wish i spotted this thread before the event.

The report looks far more like a microburst than a Tornado too..highly doubious as to wheter this was tornadic in nature.

Have a weather station?, why not join the Ireland Weather Network - http://irelandweather.eu/

When I was in my Chemistry class at about 3 pm today, it started lashing rain - and I mean a downpour and it lasted for about 10 minutes. I didn't notice any severe gales though (me being indoors, facing away from a window), nothing like my wee experience in August...

Would've been really interesting if I could've seen it properly though :(

There was a severe sqaull line that past over Portlaoise around 3pm-330pm. This developed as cold air right behind the rainfront dug in hard and some impressive cells developed, Weathercheck was right to call this as it was very similar to a setup in early January this year. The ingredients were there and his calculations were not far off - Louth and Down area predicted, Antirim hit...

8 outta 10 on that one little buddy! :D
