Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Richie vs. Idol II Young Lions Title Match Headlines October 15 in Dublin

Dublin City, Ireland -- Celtic Pro Wrestling’s next event, the follow-up show to “Celtic Revolution,” will take place on Saturday, October 15th. The company will be returning to the Good Counsel GAA Club in Dublin City for the show. The 3CW Young Lions Champion will return for the event to settle the score with arch-rival "All-Star" Anthony Idol. They fought to a double-pin on September 10th. Idol reacted to the referee's decision by kicking the belt into the face of the retaining-champion Kid Richie, opening a grusome two-inch gash next to his right eye. Also confirmed for the show are Max "The Hammer" Martello, Napalm Hamilton, "The Celtic Tiger" Blake Norton, The Amazing Insano, Alex Breslin and more. Full details on the emerging card, tickets and more can be found in the “upcoming events” section of www.CelticProWrestling.com

Lanny Poffo joins Celtic Pro Wrestling; Ross Hart Promoted

Ross Hart, second generation wrestler and promoter of the legendary Stampede Wrestling promotion in Canada, has been promoted to Commissioner of Celtic Pro Wrestling.

The Celtic Pro group was formed earlier this year in Dublin, Ireland, under wrestling star “The Celtic Tiger” Blake Norton. Until now, Hart had been working in an advisory capacity. As the new Celtic Commissioner, however, Hart controls the company’s match-making, along with a wide variety of the promotion’s activities and company policies.

Hart’s promotion has opened up Celtic Pro’s Senior Advisor position. The role was created to enlist the formal guidance and creative input of a reputed industry veteran, with the goal of helping young stars develop their style. Rather than retire the role, Hart has named a successor; world-famous wrestler and manager Lanny Poffo.

Lanny Poffo was a man before his time, helping open the doors to a more athletic style of North American pro wrestling in the late 80s. Before Shawn Michaels became “the wrestler of the 90s,” Poffo and his partner the late, great Mr. Perfect were wrestling Hulk Hogan and The Ultimate Warrior on Saturday Night’s Main Event. Countless fans worldwide saw athletic moves such as the moonsault in a WWF ring for the first time from the athletically gifted Poffo, whose father Angelo and brother Randy “Savage” Poffo were also stellar athletes in their day.

“I am very happy to contribute to this excellent wrestling promotion,” explained Poffo. “I am a lover of all things Irish. I even wrote a book of limericks which was nominated for a Newbery Award.”

“Lanny’s positive attitude and status as an innovator of styles makes him the perfect candidate to represent and the new generation of wrestling stars in Celtic Pro,” explains the new Celtic Commissioner, Ross Hart. “They have a great deal to learn from his leadership and decades of wrestling experience.”

Full results from Celtic Pro Wrestling at the Good Counsel GAA club, Drimnagh, before a crowd of 160 fans (approx.)

    ________________________
    Joey Cabray Def. Fireboy
    ________________________
In the 1st of 2 rematches from the debut show, Cabray defeated Fireboy in another quality encounter, with some fine power moves from joey
and some nice high spots from Fireboy. Cabray finished off his opponent with a stunner-while-fireboys-legs-were-on-the-top-rope. Nasty.

    ___________________________________________
Mean Mark Burns squashed Joe the cameraman
    ___________________________________________
While our handsome Ring Announcer made an announcement regarding the Celtic Pro website, Joe the camerman grabbed the mike and announced that
he's been training to wrestle for 5 months now, and wants an oppurtunity to wrestle. Out comes Max (the most over man on the roster), who
introduces Joe's opponent, Mark Burns! After a two minute battering, Burns ended this one with his "Bitchmaker" sit down chokebomb.
    ________________________________________________
Blake Norton beat Napalm Hamilton via submission
    ________________________________________________
Quality match, with both men working the crowd very well. Norton worked the leg and arm throughout the match. Spot of the night came when,
while Napalm was locked in a figure four leg lock, Napalm stole the refs shoe, and bludgeoned Norton accross the head with it, breaking the
hold. The end came when Napalm tapped out to Nortons "Stu Lock", after a distaction from Nortons "Emerald Fusion" team mate, Anthoney Idol.
    ________________________________________
Chris Witten pinnned The Amazing Insano
    ________________________________________
Following a 15 minute interval, Witten and Insano brought the crowd back into the action with a slick, fast paced, smooth as a baby's arse
match! Seriously though, Insano proved why he's "Insane" by performing a picture perfect moonsault from the top turnbuckle to the outside
onto Witten. No ring side mats here folks. Witten played heel very well, while Insano continued to establish himself as one of the top
European cruiserweights. Witten ended it with a tornado DDT with his feet on the ropes.

    Alex Breslin downed Darragh Galligan
    _____________________________________
A very entertaining bout, with some hilarious comedy from Galligan, and some lovely submissions from the equally lovely Breslin. After Alex
pinned Darragh, Adam Joyce, long time Celtic Dungeon trainee, entered the ring and called Galligan an embarresment to Celtic Pro for losing
to a girl. Galligan responded with a hysterical spiel on how he'd like to give Alex some of the good stuff. Things got serious however when
The pair attacked Breslin. She was thankfully rescued by Joey Cabray, who sent the pair packing.

Kid Richie regained the 3CW young lions Championship by beating "Allstar" Anthoney Idol in a best of 2 falls match.
    ____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________
A great match to end a great show. The first fall revolved around slow, psycology based chain wrestling and mat work, done at a super fast
pace, of course. Idol worked the arm. Richie grabbed the first fall with a 450 splash. The high-spot-o-meter was turned up a few notches in
the second round, featuring various headscissors, flying hurricanrana's and a plancha to the outside from Richie. Idol never stopped working
the arm however, which paid off in the end when he squeezed a tap out from Richie with an armbar. The pair went all out in the final, with
Richie winning the match, the fued and the title. Norton and Idol beat down Richie after the bell, before Mark Burns entered the fray. The
Emerald fusion brought back-up tonight though, back-up in the form of their newest member Jamie Coleman. Napalm Hamilton attempted a rescue
mission of sorts for his Cosa Nostra ally Burns, but after taking down Idol and Norton, he himself was floored by a clumy blow from
    Coleman.

And so, the show ended, celebrating their beat down over the motionless bodies of Burns and Hamilton. How will Cosa Nostra respond
to this humiliation? Has Joe Cabray turned over a new leaf by sideing with Alex Breslin? Who will Kid Richie defend the 3CW Young Lions
title against next? Will Darragh Galligan be able to find his way out of Cavan yet again? Find out at Celtic Pro's next show on the 12th of
November, again at the Good Counsel GAA Club, Drimnagh!
