New Servers Are In?

Just a quick question cloud, devore, regi, vexorg and ecksor I was just wondering seen as the new servers have arrived when will they be installed and I imagine we will have some crazy downtime so I kinda wanna prepare myself for such an event. Also I thought we could inform everyone of the sister sites so they can still…

Btw everyone these are the sister sites during the the installation of the new servers. Although in saying that these are quality websites so maybe you might get to like them and frequent them more often even after the downtime.

We'll have the luxury of being able to test before we move over. Downtime should be minimal, and it'll probably happen next week. If you are on the ball, and check out the IRC channel, you'll get info the fastest.

Heres a rather foolish suggestion, Now I don't expect this to be done, but if this was a compulsory pay site, Why not upgrade during the downtime during 5.00AM that occurs naturally anyway. I don't expect this to happen or anything but isn't this the sort of thing for instance the likes of RTE.ie or CNN.com would do ? Anyway fellas keep up the good work and i for one do appreciate the service even though I'm temporarily banned from some forums.

You mean, a bunch of guys running the site voluntarily, relying on donations\advertising and paying the rest out of their own pockets, and would probably have to take time out of jobs\real life to get the upgrade done, should behave like a professional site, where people get paid? With money?
