    Your metabolism slows down riiight around the age you're in college, and a few hours running and jumping about a week really is good for you, mentally, physically and psychologically.

    Running = (10 cups of coffee/tea - badness) + good for you.

    Gym's are NOT a good place for meeting people unless you can talk crap about your muscles all day. I think its total bull**** when people say that you meet loads of new people at gyms. Fair enough, you might get to know people to the "Hi how are you" extent but joining clubs you create friendships

    An ex girlfriend is the manager @ the gym so its a cheap as chips. plus I dont have to join for a full year.

    During the summer I do loads of surfing/bodyboarding but in the winter its nice to have a warm place to work off the cobwebs.........

    Nothing like a run in the freezing snow and rain of winter to harden you up:D

    Well all levels welcome as they say so not to worry. Essentially the dude running the running club thought it might be nice to be able to run with others so it wasn't so boring or lonely.
    We did 5k medium pace last week but he is flexible and you don't have to go the whole way.

    You wouldn't go running at that hour, unless it was after alot to drink, there were no taxies and it was raining.

  • Registered Users Posts: 15,815 ✭✭✭✭po0k
