i hate these tossers coming out with threads like this...best thing is to send them packing with a higher spec system..like mine below

While you could go with that setup , you would lose fps and lag like crazy if you tried to play online . I would stick to 640x480 @16bit colour , although with your std green screen monitor you might not see the full benefits of your upgrade . Also you did not mention what speed your cassette drive was and this might effect load times .

Ahhh i never thought of that, my 14567 floppies to install bf2 took ages and 14566 was corrupt track 79 failed....

I used to hate Dell with a passion but then i realise they chare you exorbitant prices for their ever-working, generally quiet pc. Also Dell Factory Outlet has great deals quite regularly

150 gigs of HD
Also got a 19 inch CRT

Obviously not top line stuff but it will play any game out now, I get very little lag, and I am quite happy with the graphics...
