Networked Projectors?

    I dont know if this is the correct forum for this, but here goes:

    I was wondering whether it would be possible to set it up so that a network projector could be connected to a LAN such that I can play videos on a home computer through it. I hear a network projector can play powerpoint documents n' such - but can they play dvd's, divX etc. or must the computer be directly connected?

    There are 2 main types of projectors at the moment, business ones for presentations and video projectors designed for Home cinema. While each one will have a go at doing the other ones job, neither performs particulaty well at it.

    I am not aware of any projectors aimed at the HC market with network connectivity.
