    are they acrylic or natural? From the price they sound acrylic and there's really no comparison between the two...

    By natural do you mean animal hairs? If so try the Body Shop ones. They're fantastic and IMO are way better than other ones. They don't shed and are cruelty free. They feel gorgeously soft.
