    what kind of computer do you need to the high specs on far cry

    my pc is dell 8400

    3.2 ghz

    250gb HD

    1024mb pc 4200 ram

    256 mb 6800gto

    on my pc the specs are low ?

    Good god no.

    I ran Far Cry decently on a 2ghz 256mb ram machine with a Geforce 4 mx.....

    What problem are you having?

    ps - am off work all this week. PM's coming tomorrow morning about those other guaranteed.... :o

    every spec is on low in my pc and when i go to get it higher the screen goes kind of black in places in the middle of playing
    i just dont understand ?

    That's a problem that pops up every now and then, update your graphic drivers and get the latest far cry updates. I can run it full detail no problems with a plain 6800 so you should be fine.

    I can run it on medium/high detail with medium anti alysing (I cant spell it but you'll get what I mean ;)). I am running it on:

    Pentium 4 2.4ghz
    768mb RAM
    NVIDIA GForce FX 5700LE
    Onboard Audio (Disabled EAX)
    5 Gig free Hard Disk Space,

    Runs perfectly ;)

    3.2 ghz 250gb HD 1024mb pc 4200 ram 256 mb 6800gto

    Ive the same set up, my GC is leadtek winfast ( GIANT heatsink ) version of the 6800 GT.

    I have the settings on full, no problems.

    What drivers are you using?

    Have u run 3DMark03?

    The demo had this problem, can't remember the fix but it has to do with AA and AF. Turn that off and see what happens.
