    COMP. 5 60 Shot SPORTING RIFLE @ 20 yds. - (Turning Target:

    GRAND AGG: ANY THREE FROM COMPS. 1 – 5.

    There will also be a “fun shoot” the winner to take half the money taken in.

    PRIZES: In each class as per entry.


    Aggregate prizes will be cash for 1st and 2nd places. Only one aggregate per competitor.

    NOTE: N.I.S.S.U. classification lists will be used.




    ENTRIES:

    Telephone entries will be taken by Ivor / Myrtle Fletcher on 02894 462336 NI or 082894462336 ROI.

    Entries will also be taken on the range on first come basis.







    General conditions of entry:

    1. All shooting will be squadded and targets shot consecutively.
    2. Squad times' means first shot fired. Targets must be in frames five minutes in advance of these times.
    3. Competitors must enter in accordance with the current N.I.S.S.U. classification list. If your name does not appear on these lists please supply proof of your average, signed by your Club Captain or secretary. If you do not comply with the above you will be placed in the highest class in the event entered.
    4. The Air Rifle competition will be under I.S.S.F. rules where possible. All other competitions will be under N.S.R.A. Rules.
    5. E.A.R.P.C. cannot accept any responsibility for any article, including firearms and ammunition brought to or used at the meeting or any property left or stored on the ranges.
    6. Disputes will be settled by the Range Committee which will consist of any three members of the Committee of EARPC.
    7. All competitors must have appropriate insurance coverage either through the NSRA or other reputable organisation.

    Would this have any implications for potential Olympians?

    Or has all that amateur/professional stuff been done away with years ago?

    I don't think so Rovi, we've had financial spot-prizes for a while (shoot a 100/100 in air rifle, win €100, that kind of thing). The professional/amateur stuff tends to be more for sports like golf and boxing where there's *big* money involved. And the EARC Festival isn't an international match organised by the ISSF anyway.
