Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Major news involving IwW stars at MEW show - Spoilers

Irish Whip Wrestling is proud to announce that 'SOS' Seamus O'Shaunessy has regained his IwW International Heavyweight Championship.

In a triple-threat match at the Main Event Wrestling show on Sunday 2nd October also involving previous champion, D'Lo Brown and top MEW star, Assassin, 'SOS' would pin Brown to become a two-time Champion after losing the belt originally to D'Lo last May.

It was a shocking turn of events considering that just a little over a month ago, IwW star Vic Viper appeared primed and ready to challenge D'Lo. However at IwW Gym War V, that would change when O'Shaunessy pinned Red Vinny in another triple-threat (with Viper being the third participant) to earn a shot. At IwW D-Day, D'Lo won the belt when interference from 'The Pukka One' Darren Burridge led to the downfall of O'Shaunessy's first title reign.

'SOS' has vowed to bring the belt back to Ireland and defend it like a true champion, which leaves a certain amount of intrigue ahead of the upcoming IwW Whiplash TV taping scheduled for The Forum, Waterford on Saturday 8th October. With the new champion in the house along with D'Lo Brown, Vic Viper and all of your regular Whiplash stars, anything could happen.

Also on the MEW show was a six-man tag-team match where local trio D-Unit would defeat Team IwW, consisting of 'The Heretic' Red Vinny, 'The Flawless One' Jay Phoenix and Mad Man Manson, by disqualification after the IwW side started brawling amongst themselves. This descension in the ranks is bound to spill over to Saturday's TV taping as all three men are also scheduled to appear.

Interesting times indeed for wrestling fans throughout Ireland and the UK.
