Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back a page or two to re-sync the thread and this will then show latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Internet Explorer Not Behaving

A couple months ago I got a new Pc and with it Windows Xp pro. Everything seems to be working fine. Except Internet Explorer. It isn't displaying correctly. Everything is in big blocky letters, colours are usually bleached out in favour of stark white and text often clumps into unreadable piles.

I have windows automatic updates enabled, and three different security programs and everything is nice and up to date, including directX, but still I cannot get Internet Explorer to work properly.

Now, thats not really a big problem because I use Firefox, but, my antivirus program uses an internet explorer window to manage scans and stuff, and with the way its behaving it means that I can't manually run scans.

I dont think it is windows display settings, as everything else is fine.

Does any of this sound familiar to anyone?

Does this only happen on certain sites? Any examples? Could be CSS issues.

For example. Right now im using Internet Explorer. Everything is pure white, with black borders and some blue text. There is none of boards normal colouring.

Google is pretty normal, except the buttons are stupidly large.

Essentially everything has a sort of childish "chunky" feel to it.

    yeah
FireFox does that when you set the User Agent Switcher to Internet Explorer to access some sites that can't be accessed any other way from FireFox.

    Empty the cache,
Try logging in as another user in case it profile specific

Emptied cache. Nothing. It happens with all users.

I was just playing around with display settings, and do you know what it looks like? Its as if internet explorer is constantly stuck in High Contrast White with large icons and text. But I dont seem to be able to make it go away.
