Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Which current Premiership footballer was once brought on in an international match as a replacement for his Dad?

    Eidur Gudjohnsen.

Five clubs in the first Premiership season (1992/93) had squads exclusively made up of players from Britain and Ireland. Which team out of these five finished highest or lowest in the league table? (you can choose which one to answer)

Norwich is correct, Barnsely and Swindon weren't in the Premiership until later. The other teams were Sheffield United, Southampton, Crystal Palace and Middlesbrough who finished bottom of this particular group and second last in the league.

    You're up besty.

    Right,
couuld have been asked somewhere before but.....
Name the 2 players who have won:

    FA Cup
    Premiership
    European Championships (International tournament)
    Champions League.

I don't think this one will last long

    Schmeichel is one.

    Barthez?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,219 ✭✭✭Mossin

Schmeichel is a definate, but i don't think Barthez won an F.A. Cup.

Could it be Anelka? the double with Arsenal in 1998, European Championship with France in 2000, and Champions League with Real Madrid.

As I got that question correct, i will pose the next one...

    It's just a teaser.

Who was the oldest scorer in Euro '96?

Think it might have been McCoist alright, Pearce is older but peno's don't really count.

Afaik yer right but I don't wanna interrupt himself to ask.

Class party and whatnot tonight so like he said, wait till morning :)

Shearer was top scorer with 5, Ally had one bloody goal.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,219 ✭✭✭Mossin

    Yeah it was Ally McCoist.

Not the most obvious answer, but as Kaimera said he only scored 1 goal in the tournament.

    blu_sonic your question now.

Well that's Davor Suker. Could be him alright. Still, something says Rivaldo, or Michael Owen?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,219 ✭✭✭Mossin

I apologise if i got the year wrong, but the correct answer was Pedrag Mijatovic, as Jivin Turkey correctly pointed out.

    (1) Zola
    (2) Vialli
    (3) Di Matteo
    (4) Berti (I didn't actually have him so that's 14 now!)
    (5) Casiraghi
    (6) Ravanelli
    (7) Lombardo

I am open to correction if someone can prove me wrong but Cudicini and Taibi are not full internationals. And Di Canio and Carbone never made it to the full side either.
