Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hey all,

I am heading to Manchester on the weekend of the 22nd of October and Man Utd are playing Spurs this weekend, does anybody know where I can get my hands on a pair of tickets for this or how much would the touts charge?

    Thanks in advance!

    Try http://www.manutd.com/tickets/

are you a member of one united?

Best of luck buddy, 99.9% of man utd home league games are sold out. So options are v limited unless you have a bucket of money and wish to go to a tout.

The first game of the season didn't even sell out. Ticket were on general sale from the megastore on the friday before the match and on matchday. If your there early on the Friday go to the megastore.

Or just take the easy option and buy one for above face value from outside The Trafford Bar.

Any idea how much the "touts" sell them for?

I wont be there till late Friday!

£100 will secure you a ticket from my experiences.

Wait until a few minutes after kick off to get them at a more realistic price/face value.

    WHAT???

Why on this earth would someone pay £100 (€146) for a ticket to a Manchester United game? I got a Shelbourne season ticket for €100 for feck sake!

did you miss the article that was posted here a while back about how foolish football "fans" are? :P

People will pay all sorts of ridiculous money to see "their" team play.

If its the "Beauts and Teds" one you mean, I actually have 14 posts in that thread!

I never really thought anyone would spend £100 to a Premiership game though, I always assumed it was £35/40/45.

no , thats a different one . He's talking about the one that was aimed at just English football and how its fans were idiots .

It critisized pretty much anyone who had ever gone to an English match or owned a jersey (or other supporter stuff) of an English team .

The £100 is for a ticket from a tout.

I dont see the problem in apparently spending money and being so called foolish. But dont want this thread to go off topic, my point being why go out over here during the weekend when for the same price and amount spent I can enjoy myself in Norwich.

Also to the OP, I might be able to sort out tickets for you. I can ask a few mates over in England if they can get hold of any. I'm over there next Friday so I can ask around if you like

It is definately possible to get tickets over there on the day of the match because of ticket returns. Try and get to the ticket office as soon as you can and get the tickets if you can. There should be some available. My Dad done this for the Blackburn match a few years ago and he got one of the best seats in the ground (dead centre of the south stand).

You could always ring the ticket office too. Their number is 0044 870 442 1999.

Well after last nights performance you will get aticket no problem.........

As i have said before best place to try is the Railway club on Chester road (just take a right at the top of Sir Matt Busby way and walk for about 5 mins) or try the Trafford pub, which is directly at the top of Sir Matt Busby way.

    Good luck

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,545 ✭✭✭Green_Martian

Are you from Norwich? If not, as you're in Waterford, why dont you support the Blues?

If you bothered to read the first page here there were a few questions asked that did not have relevance to this thread. Why didnt you reprimand them?

"EL team rubbish"? Suggest you moderate yourself:rolleyes:

I suggest you read what was posted. "why don't you support an EL team rubbish" not "EL team rubbish". There are any number of posts and thread suggesting that people in Ireland should support a team in Ireland, if you want to suggest such a thing put it in one of those threads, not in a thread where somebody is asking for tickets to a game in England.

Firstly I shortened your quote. Secondly suggest you take the word rubbish in future and replace with the word post so you would have "why dont you support an EL team POST". After all you are a moderator and are meant to be neutral..........

If you are going to the ticket office make sure you get there early, you could be lucky and get some very nice seats.

There prob is a mag in manchester but don't know what it is called. If worse comes to worse just wait until about 10 past 3 and you should get a ticket at a decent price of the touts.

Should be a good game enjoy!!!

Just to let you know some of the spurs fan sites are listing extra coach's heading up to Manchester for the game on Saturday . I presume this is due to the great start spurs have had to the start of the season.
Similar questions and suggestions are appearing on these forums so i would expect a larger number of traveling ticketless fans than normal. this will inevitably push up the price the touts are asking and reduce the number of spare tickets floating about.

Reckon it should be a cracker of a game,4-1 to spurs Defoe with a hat-trick and Robbie to come off the bench and bang in the final nail of the coffin.

Mr Moon, I've asked a few of the lads over here and in Norwich to see if they can get you tickets. I havent been online that much and totally forgot about the thread. As for the question about me? I'm from Waterford, went to see them play (Waterford) since I was a toddler and now I rather take a trip every week to see NCFC play.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,198 ✭✭✭kensutz

To see a game inclusive of flights accom etc would probably set you back about €200 to €250 depending on who you want to see, where you want to see them etc.
