Has anybody SUCCESSFULLY applied for and been granted support under the Seed Capital Scheme....? If so, how does it work ? If you qualify, does the revenue actually issue you (or your business) with a cheque up to the limit of €31,750 p.a. ?

Does anybody have a further breakdown of the category described as "Internationally Traded Services "....? Does international consulting qualify under this heading ? If so, is it all types of consulting , or are their some restrictions ?

    Appreciate any insights.

Not done any recently but did some case for clients some years back. Thing have changed since but really only in such way that it made it a bit more advantageous. Previously you could only use the break to offset against tax in the year of investment but it was opened up whereby it can be offset against tax already paid thus giving you an immediate refund, well practically, generally within 4 to 6 weeks of claiming but this time of year it might take a bit longer. The maximum amount in any one year is €31,750 but is limited to the tax that you actually paid.

It is quite strict and there are many restrictions. Check out leaflet number IT15 (or it could be IT16, can't remember which) with the Revenue.

In relation to Internationally Traded Services, never had any call to look into it so sorry cannot comment.

Did you get an accountant to submit it on your behalf or did you choose to submit it yourself ?
