I don't think he's ever claimed to be anything other than aesthetically challenged. As a presenter, I think he's pretty good though. Not a fashionable opinion, I must admit...

Sure, he's ugly - he knows it, we know it, everyone knows it.
But he doesn't have to look THAT bad. The haircut is awful it doesn't attempt to flatter him at all. And I know he loves suits, but they don't suit him. He is too thin for them, he should wear something that flatters his body shape (or tries to give hime one).

I think he's alright! I know he's like a bean pole, and the sharp haircut doesn't exactly do wonders for him but still... he actually gives people a chance to talk and I'd definetely watch him any day over Pat Kenny

I prefer his show but it's like he gets the C list guests and Pat gets the B list

I wish this would end. At least I can kind of see an end to Mr. Courtneys show. But this piece of **** could run for 10 years. And what then. Turbirty On the Late Late. And I thought the idea of Pat on the Late Late was bad.


He had Blondie on and only spoke to Debbie Harry and spoke down to the rest of the band.

RTE here are a few names for for next autumn

Ray D'Arcy (He is wasted on When Dream's Come Through but makes that show good because he is so good at what he does.)
Dave Fanning (He has a tiny budget for his show the Last Broadcast but still he makes it more professional).

I am sure their are plenty of others including: -

Carrie Crowley (LimeLight showed she could present she was just over exposed at the time)
Mariam O'Callaghan (Obivous choice for the Late Late Now! she can do light and serious).

Pretty Ugly!!!

Saw him MCing the "Share a Dream Foundation" banquet in Galway a couple of years ago. He had to interview some of the sick kids and their parents on stage. He was so rude to some of them, I haven't watched/listened to anything he's done since.

One of my friends (who's a born and bred Galwegian, but has an Indian/Portuguese surname) rang his show once to get a request played for her sister. He started refering to her as a refugee and putting on a bad Indian accent! Had she been in Dublin, he would have had his lights put out after the show!
