I have 2 cavalier King Charles Pups for sale, they are nearly one year old and amazing markings. they are IKC registered, Fully vaccinated, and Microchipped.

The Pups were from my bitches litter last year, so mother can be seen, have all papers and need to sell urgently, as the owners emmigrating and gave them back to me, but im finding it hard with 4 dogs in the house! as i have 2 of my own.

please contact me if you are looking for a beautifull dog like the cavalier.....

    Hi Fidelma,

At almost one year old these youngsters aren't really pups anymore. Having spent their most formative weeks and month somewhere else, I think it would be beneficial for the prospective buyer to get some more information as to how they were raised, kept and trained.
Some simple things like: do they need to stay together? do they get along with kids / other animals? can they stay on their own?

    That kind of thing ...

Hi, well they were rared together, but lately i feel they are fighing to be top dog, as i also have a male and its causing problems, i have 3 children and they all play well with them and the people they spent the last few months with had a son and a small child and there were no problems.

they are trained, but as i say with my Male dog they seem to be spraying in my home for rights as top dog, even my dog who is trained is doing it now, hence the urgency to sell them on.

they were named Sam and Max, although they are young enough to be trained with new names.

Neutering may help with the spaying/dominence etc. May not be an all round cure but could help.

Thanks but apart from the fact i do not fully agree with neutering i breed these dogs, and as i am selling the pups i do not want to neuter them as the buyer may wish to breed or show them as thier dad is a show dog, infact one of the top show dogs in his class.

I know when i get the "pups" sold my lad will settle back down, as you say its just a dominence thing with them so i cant really give out to them, as they are not doing to for relief purposes if you know what i mean!

How do you know that the buyer isn't some puppy farm who's going to breed these dogs until they're just worn out? Cavaliers are very, very popular in this country, and are in high demand. There are puppy farms all over the place breeding hundreds of puppies in filthy conditions with no healthcare, training or socialisation.

Even if they aren't a puppy farm, how do you know the buyer even knows the first thing about breeding? How do you know the female won't be mated to a dog larger than herself, meaning there's a good chance the puppies will be too big for her? Small dogs are notorious for having birthing problems, many dogs die in labour or need Caesareans.

How do you know the dogs will be mated to dogs that are even half decent examples of their breed? These dogs are from your bloodlines, so it's your reputation that's at stake if the offspring are poor examples of the breed.

here are the pictures as promiced.

Nala, To answer your questions about finding a suitable home which isnt going to abuse or do any of the thing you mention are big concerns when selling pups, i sell my pups through the Cavallier kennel club, and usually the price we charge will scare away the sort of people you describe.

    Hi Fidelma,

First of all, I think it is very good of you, to take back your pups and rehome them through you rather than allow them to be dumped or get shoved about.
I wish all breeders would do that.

Secondly ....sorry... but I'm just curious as to the workings of that arrangement. Do you have a contract with your customers that states that they have to give the pups back to you? Do you have to give them some or even all of their money back?

I' not familiar with these things ...

Hi, well teh owners used to bring the boys round when they went on holidays, and thier Mam used to love seeing them, but when she told me she was going to have to "get Rid" of them i was very uset and offered to try to find homes for them as i was afraid they would end up in a bad way. i like to know where my pups are, these were my bitches first litter, so i wanted to make sure to the best of my ability they went to good homes, the owners called often to visit with them untill they were weened and it was lovely, as did the other owners, as i said i got the new owners through the kennel club.

As to money, well the owners will get that, they provide me with food and i keep the dogs here as it was too upsetting for them to keep them, knowing they couldnt keep them, if you follow me.

I honestly cant see me selling them as most owners want new puppeis, but these guys are still young enough to be trained and moulded, if you will, into thier new enviorment.

They are registered with the kennle club too but as i say everyone seems to want 8 week old pups not year olds!

I read the post on inbred pups, it was really disturbing, and scary for me as i am very aware of the potential problems you can encounter during whelping, i had to hand rare one pup, but unfortunatly the little blighter didnt make it.

im not sure if you would be interested but here are some pictures of the birth, http://www.fidelmas-world.net/Albums/litter1/index.htm

i want the best for my pups and dogs, i had Mam and pups in the vets within 24hours of her giving birth to make sure all was ok. i think i am conciencious and i do not go into anything wtihout doing full research and knowing the facts first, i cant abide these farms and shame there cant be some regulations.
