dont wanna spend 60euro on it.

and it will JUST be for the PSP, its all changed so it works with the PSP figure.

Good luck with that. You'll need at least a 2gb stick to fit it. Those of us lucky enough to have them must be bleeding money.

im looking forward to getting it eventually, at the moment ive still to play 3 and have to restart vice city due to my memory card dieing. As it is im not sure how it will fair with the psp controls. I dont think it going to come out on any other console they made it just for the psp it would have to be totally redone for new consoles.

id like to have it on my mem card, but if its ripped etc it will be stripped to around 800mb or so which will still take up all of my card so i will be buying it which means = SLOW loading times, yay !

game obviously wont be out for ps2 xbox etc because its a port of gta3 with better ****. But a complete degrade to San Andreas so no no.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 2,464 ✭✭✭Kristok

Its not really a port they just used the map from gta 3 the game its self is completly different.

this game is one of the few that are actually worth buying...the only advantage of iso's here is the loading time as already mentioned...its gonna rock bg time tho :D

    too right

Its going to lift the psp up, up BIG Time.

But there will be Plenty more games relased on psp, which can only improve from this.

bets on there being a compulsry firmwire update bundled on that lovley Liberty Stories UMD?

I reckon Liberty Stories might become the best selling game on the PSP like GTA3 did on the PS2
I wouldn't be surprised if their is a compulsory firmware update was on the UMD though

I'm getting it. A tad worried that they're rushing it out though. Not like Rockstar to use a rehashed map from an old game.

Maybe Sony are pushing them to get it out quickly because it could prove to be the PSP's "killer-app". This and Pro Evo when its out, along with Wipeout Fusion, will keep my PSP ticking over till Christmas.

you're possibly right but from the multiplayer maps and slightly changed engine (more SA then GTA3) it seems they've managed to make it different enough to be a stand-alone gta game. plus, it was rockstar leeds who made it, with input from rockstar north

    to change the tone:

i hope everyone adopts your attitude and kills the industry altogether. paying for games? ah sure the devs are rich bastards anyway

I hope everyone who can does but that aint going to kill the industry no matter how cheap memory cards are there always going to be people who wont understand how to do it and buy the real thing. The thing that will kill the industry is when games get too real for a new platform to make them look any better and we all get bored playing quake 10 on our psp3 or the xbox 180 which was the same as the last 4 versions.

Maybe they should have concentrated on making something original that more people would be willing to pay for. One game and four glorified add-ons later - I'm sure Rockstar aren't too pushed for cash.

Didn't know they had the PSP hacked so compleatly though.. ISO's? interesting..

this game will be the one everyone buys and nobody pirates. My position on this is that I'd only pirate games I'd never buy or that won't come out over here. Rockstar deserve the money for making great games

Tank Top Fever! is right its one of those games youll just have to own (assuming it dosnt get terrible reviews) In saying that if it requires a firmware update ill not go near it no matter how good.

there's an easy way around the firmware upgrade tho. I play both Burnout and Virtua Tennis on a 1.5, even tho both require 1.52. Just download WAB version changer. It folls the psp into thinking it is a higher version than it is. It's updated right through to the newest firmware upgrade 2.1

There is to be no more talk about Warez, none at all. Not on this or any thread unless a thread is made for just that.

Anyone who wants to try will be banned.

...and it's been out in Japan since December 2004.

Apart from about five games there's a hefty amount of titles that you can already find on a Playstation/home console.

burnout on the psp is a very different animal to the ps2 one. same goes for every other title that's already out on ps2

There are a few other games that are very different (like Mercury), but Burnout Legends reeealllly isn't one of them. It's a mish-mash of different tracks, cars, etc from the previous games. It plays the same as the other Burnout games and that's why people like it. It's good clean (well...) fun.

  • Registered Users Posts: 31 TakeDown247

I heard Burnout is hard to play on the PSP as the PSP doesn't display the other cars quickie enough (not played it myself) Lumines is great though been playing that for hours very addictive, back to GTA Liberty City Storys
it's the same place as GTA 3 but 3 years earlyer and is said to be a new game not a port :)

  • Registered Users Posts: 8,070 ✭✭✭Placebo

[in general not directed at anyone :]
    are you joking me ?
theres **** ALL out on the psp and more than half are EXACT ports.
Burnout legends is 3 with pursuit, its the same.

Lumines and Mercury and 3rd odd game doesnt change anything. More games are needed.

  • Registered Users Posts: 22,249 ✭✭✭✭Lemlin

I don't really mind if the games are the same. I can't play my PS2 on my lunch in work when I'm bored, when I'm sitting on the bus or when I'm on the train!

My PS2 doesn't play my MP3s either or does it store movies I download to it.

That's the point of a PSP: its portable!

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 2,653 ✭✭✭steviec

The PSP has a lot of good games, some are ports and some aren't, all but a few exceptions bring at least something the home versions don't and it's only been out a very short while. It's a very very healthy catalogue so far I'd say.

I'd rather a great but unoriginal game like Burnout Legends or Virtua Tennis than an original game I'm bored of in days like Warioware or Yoshi's Touch & Go(I own all four of those games)

Back on topic, I'm really looking forward to Liberty City Stories, hopefully it lives up to the GTA name.

I'll be happy if it has half the longevity of GTA 3.
