Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back a page or two to re-sync the thread and this will then show latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Hope this is the right forum. Anyway Ive got a problem with my IE. I was on holidays for a few weeks and since Ive come back my IE icon (as well as my My Computer one) have disappeared from the desktop. When I try and run them from the start menu I get

    "Runtime error!

    C:/Program files/IE/iexplore.exe has terminated.

The application has requested the runtime to terminate in an unusual way."

    Or something along those lines.

Its odd as if I log in to my PC under any of the other users I can still access the net (as I am now) but under my own login I cant, and I hadnt used the thing in weeks and prior to me going away it was fine.

Any ideas or help on how to fix this would be most appreciated.

    Thanks.

sounds like a virus or perhaps you profile has become corrupted. try a virus scan using stinger (do a search in google) and a spyware scan and using spybot search and destory.

What verison of windows and IE you using?

I did a spybot search and destroy Ill try this stinger thing now.

Using XP and not sure what version of IE to be honest. Ill check.

Its a bit weird though that its working on the other profiles would you not think?

    Thanks.

Sounds like a curropt profile then, backup anything in your profile, make a other admin account and delete your current profile includinging removing the files at c:\ Docs & Settings\ Username then re-create your profile and it should hopefully fix it
