Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

so, what's your feeling about this match?
because after have seen our last prestation and yours. i'm sure of nothing.
are we that bad or the other squads improved a lot?

Do you believe in miracles? (well not for you...cause you're French :D)

No, I would imagine it would take divine intervention for us to win the group.

It would take God him/herself (<< very P.C. ;) we all know Gods a dude...he's got a beard tbh.) to come down from Heaven and net a hatrick for Cyprus, while jesus plays between the sticks for us...with moses on the left probably.

France will win comfortably, Cyprus have already thrown their kitchen sink, and if France needed an alarm call before the match, they've got it.

An easy ride, 4 - 0 Les Bleus, exebition stuff.

if only god could hear you:D

well, as i said, i'm nomore sure of nothing.
seems the chipriotes played well. they are stronger than on the paper. if they play defensively, it will be fort alamo.

for you. well. your best players aren't here. so, you will need a fighting spirit.

finally, our group wasn't that easy.

will kherr be fired if you lose tomorrow?

Not fired as such, but his contract may not be renewed.

Ireland is fairly divided as to whether or not he is the man for the job.

A bold predicition considering France are missing both Henry and Trezeguet, and Cyprus haven't conceded more than 3 for the whole campaign, their heaviest defeat coming in none other than Lansdowne Road. Though, in the last competitive game with France at home -vs- Cyprus, it was 5 - 0 to France...

    Is Makelele injured/suspended?

Anyways, its a pretty good team. Govou & Wiltord will give the team lots of width, which they didnt use against Ireland.

Cyprus took it easy on us on Saturday out of pity for our inferior team. However I reckon they'll give 100% against France tommorow and come out with an impressive 4-0 defeat.

Suspended, got a yellow in the first few mins against the swiss.

Im sorry to say that I expect France to win this pretty comfortably 3-0. The team they have picked is very attacking and if Switzerland manage to beat us then France need to win at least 4-0 in order to win the group. They are going to push forward alot and I expect it to be a stroll in the park for them.

I hope im wrong and Cyprus pull off a miracle

Usually you don't get two footballing miracles in one night. I'll be happy just to get one in Dublin ... cos we're gonna need it.

If we came top of the group, though....

no odds on a double but ireland are evens to win and cyprus are 25-1 to win at paddy powers

Odds are 80/1 (gamebookers) for Pornapsters double

  • Moderators, Regional North East Moderators Posts: 12,739 Mod ✭✭✭✭cournioni

Hmm... I wouldn't mind a bet on that.

Not sure about this one. Ireland made the Cypriots look very good on Saturday night with their terrible display.

The French haven't looked all that great in qualifying though but I reckon they'll win 2-0.

I know Ireland made Cyprus look good on Saturday but I'm going with instinct on this one. Silly bet I know and I don't normally bet like this, but sure its worth a go!

    what a match!!!
i don't know how is your match. but this one is one hell of attacking stuff.
cissé missed a lot of occasions. especially an one on one with the goalie.

Cisse is terrible. Dont suppose you know anyone at any french clubs that you could convince to buy him back?

Still hopefull for your bet pornapster?

Our match is quite even. Harte missed a good chance with a free header, but Switzerland (Alexander Frei) missed an even easier chance.

i think he will go to marseille.
i don't know what to say about his performance of today. of course he missed a lot. but it was like the bad luck was on him.

the match ended by a 4.0
giuly scored after a superb action.

one match might be bad luck, but he always plays like that for liverpool.

he has been twice best scorer of french league.
sure, he is not as technical as his mates. but he can improve. he is fast and athletic. maybe he need to play more.

Not really, as Guivarc'h moved clubs nearly every season, and his best years were at Guingamp and Rennes.
