    just wondering after how many thousand miles should the timing belt be replaced on this car?

    60000 on a polo.

    Just had mine done today, costing/ripping me 250 Euro. You can get cheaper, I just messed up by not shopping around.

    While I was driving it to work with teh mechanic in the car, I pointed out a noise I'd been hearing, he reckoned it was the wheel bearings, and they took another 110 euros from me for doing that too.

    On the plus side, the noise is gone, (screw somewhere tightened?), and it feels a lot pokier.

    Money traps them automobiles.
