I'm 18 so have never written a cheque before(I feel all grown up!). Now the time has come to write my first one ever to pay for an item from eBay. Can anyone tell me how to do this? Do I use all capitals? What do I write on all the lines? It says Account Payee. What does that mean?

    Thanks!

Where it says "Pay" on the top line, you stick in the person's name.
Where it says "Amount" (or if it says nothing, on the second line), you stick in the amount, in words.
In the little box on the far right hand side, you stick the amount in numbers.
Below that box again, under your typed name, you sign.

Account payee means that the cheque may only be drawn by the person mentioned in the "Pay" line.
