Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

maybe power was the wrong word, pressure would best describe it. All the electric ones I use feel more brittle than their manual counterparts, so I think I'm going to break it if I give a good hard brushing.

    Manual...

Can you electrocute yourself in the mouth?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 6,598 ✭✭✭ferdi

i like to ease myself in with a bit of manual and then work in the electric.

I use an electric but I'm thinking about going old skool and returning to the manual toothbrush. I hate the way the toothpaste splatters everywhere using an electric toothbrush!

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 1,441 ✭✭✭The_Goose

Used electric one for two mins but could feel the current in my teeth.
Strange i know but just didnt like it.
Manaul and cheap ones to cause the brissels are solid as a rock :)

There should be an 'I don't brush' option.

A real man never brushes his teeth. A pint of creamy Guinness is enough. Unless you want your teeth as white as this - :D

Manual. 3 times a day. After every meal. Get some strannge looks sometimes in the jacks in college after lunch.
Am kinda obsessed with keeping good dental health. Only thing I've had to go to the dentist for in the last decade have been wisom teeth. Which are coming out in January. All 4. Long live novocaine.

Really, what's the point in this? Do you really care? You've been starting a lot of pointless threads and polls lately.

just got one the other day, was just curious who uses em.

what pointless polls and threads are you refering to?, other than the chewing gum one, which is in the cuckoo's nest.

Braun electric one. Have been using it for the past 2 years. Batteries aren't a problem as it's rechargeable, unless I forget to charge it, whereby it's back to manual temporarily!

Manual but only because I never have the damn thing recharged!

Manual - with the hardest bristles I can find. The only way to remove stains caused by my huge coffee intake...

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,645 ✭✭✭Shrimp

    Manual, and with a softbrush.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 5,133 ✭✭✭mysterious

Putting a lot of pressure over your teeth with the hardest tootbrush you can find, is a bad idea....

What happens next , you will not just remove stains but cause damage to your enamel and also irrated your gums and the possibly gingitives? (spelling unsure)....

Dentist say a normal toothbrush preferably Oral b, and have a small brush to get around the teeth....

Manual's the only way to go. It gets you working for that perfect sheeny smile. Does anyone have a brushing pattern also? Y'know start bottom right, then bottom left etc.

Electric for me, manual is not as effective as electric.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 21,035 ✭✭✭✭Stark

Yeah I find electrics to be much more effective as well.

I use the manual ones; too much hassle with the electric ones.
