    The fact the topic of banning has sparked pages and pages of debate on boards highlights the issue there is with it. There are many a tale out there about the childish nature of some bannings and while there is a need for a level of policing on an open popular message forum such as this, a chronically bad moderating policy (or lack of in this case) takes away from the good of the site.

    Ban ppl for abuse and illegal activities, leave the peeps who talk rubbish to themselves. They will be best left alone by other users anyway.

    A suggestion for a moderator charter sounds good, although is it necessary? You're all adults are you not?

    Nope not new, just level headed. But ultimately alot of ppl reckon that unless other users are in agreement that they're spouting crap. So where do u draw the line? I still dont see good argument for such regulation. The answer "because we can" isnt an answer.

    I don't see what it would be. I mean apart from the obvious (e.g. no porn, no threats, have self-control, etc.) and the practical (e.g. how to ban a user) there isn't much else to it.
