Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back a page or two to re-sync the thread and this will then show latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I'm looking for a reliable utility to sync my work files, so I can work from home: Office <-> USB Key <-> Laptop.

    Both systems are XP.

I've done Google (and SourceForge) but the choices are overwhelming

    What do people recommend?

I've not tried it but have a look at rsync - the windows briefcase is a pain since it's up to you to answer yes/no all the bleedin time.

    quick google leads to
    http://www.pedleyonline.com/various/rsync.php

    OR
    C:\Files - Either PC
    E:\Files - USB key

    Batch file
    xcopy c:\files\ d:\files\*.* /s /d /c /r /y
    xcopy D:\files\ C:\files\*.* /s /d /c /r /y

copies newer files to/from USB key - you would have to delete a file on all three to stop it coming back !

    You might try

    robocopy /mir

this will sync directories, including deleting files that are not in the source directory.
