What happened to jack?

Ok i must have missed something last season.
When i last watched jack was in command of the SGC and they had just gone back in time but had already gone back in time so didnt have.
Last episode last season yes??
So i was a little suprised not to see him in command this season??

I know hes not gonna be around but story line wise retired, fired.....?

Just kidding, I've seen it to and can tell you why.
You may have noticed RDA's character -Jack- appearing less and less in each episode over the last two years. He has in fact slowly been drawing himself out if the show so he can, as he himself put it, spend more time with his daughter. Thats why when you saw the new series you saw

a new general and a new colonel

No not satisfied. i saw it sunday and i know he s being slowly leaving but what i m saying is last season he was in command this season hes not. Is he suppose to be retired or promoted etc????

Also....for clarity, Jack was promoted to Hammonds old job.

? Hammond Was General of SGC then he was Commander of Promethus then he was and still is Commander of the Earth Defence Force or Plantary Defence Force or sumthing like that

As far as I know Jack has taken Hammonds job at the Pentagon, hence his not being in the SGC anymore.

And Col. Penderghast is in comman of Prometheus.

he was wearing a suit. He's a civilian now, some kind of advisor to the president I think.

oh yeah brought him aboard Thors ship, he uploaded his conscience to the ship(had to do this to access the ancient knowledge in jack cause they could not unfreeze with the knowledge still inside him) where he created a weapon to destroy the replicators before been downloaded back to his body, getting the ancient knowledge removed and unfrozen.:cool:

Yeah, but is RDA going to make even token / guest appearances in an further episodes? Or, is he gone for good? It would be a shame if he didn't even just make the odd appearance......
