    just looking through the humour forum and there is an awful lot of spamming going on. lots and lots of people sayin LOL or whatever, people just trying to raise the post count. would it be possible to stop the post count like in TCN???

    Doing away with LOL in the Humour Forum?
    It would be like telling jokes in an empty room.

    Try doing away with "Praise be unto Allah" in the Islam Forum first.
    Let's know how you get on.

    nah you can say LOL as much as you want just get rid of the post count

    The post count is not very reliable.
    Unless I'm mistaken an edit to an existing post increments your post count.
    Or maybe it used to.
    Doesn't seem to now.
    But the new system doesn't show I've edited this post 3 times already.
    Make that 5.

    Telling someone that their joke is funny on a forum is Spamming? Do you actually know what Spamming is?

Post counts are just a number and tbh if you were to read too much into it you could say, for example, that you having a high post count for a relatively short time on Boards would indicate that you post an awful lot and therefore the quality of your posts is compromised.     Why are you so bothered about other people's post counts? Post counts are just a number and tbh if you were to read too much into it you could say, for example, that you having a high post count for a relatively short time on Boards would indicate that you post an awful lot and therefore the quality of your posts is compromised. But hey, it's just a number!

    i don't give a flyin f about post counts (and the only reason i have a new post here is because i couldn't edit my last one) i just thought it would be interesting to see if the same amount of replys were given to the jokes thats all.
