What does this switch do ?

Hi there Just moved into a second hand house and I have noticed that outside 2 of the bathrooms (the main one and the ensuite) there is an extra switch on the light switch panel. One is for the bathroom light, one is for the extractor, but what is the third one for?. when I switch it on it gives a very faint whirring…

Hi there

If you live in a bungalow or have low water pressure it may be an auxilliary water pump.
