Yeah you're right Cyrus...the seller damaged the original alloys and instead of repairing them she replaced them. She gave me the damaged set as part of the price and I had them fixed and sold them on. The ones you see I don't know if they're original or not but if you have noticed then they must not be.

no worries, not having a go, but its a nice car, would look nicer with audi wheels :)

I only noticed yesterday, but the amount of brand new GTs on the road is unreal. I've haven't seen many new GTIs. Surely sales have taken a hit?

I've noticed too... but most seem to be the lower bhp 1.4 (140 bhp?), and hence thousands cheaper than a GTI.

The 80bhp 125bhp and 140bhp GT's all look the same.

Unless they have the multispoke alloys and rear twin exhaust then they're just the new 'sportline' trim. Gts are now available in 80, 122 and 140bhp. I drive the 170 and tbh this annoys me how I spent so much on it but the 80bhp can have the same kit. There aren't to many 170s around really. So check the wheels next time you see them. If they're the ones in the pic above then you won't be able to tell which model it is apart from it not being a 170.

I also feel sorry for those who bought the 140bhp gt as its a good bit more expensive than the others but cannot be distinguished from them.
