There is a least one original Stratos that has been rallied in Ireland a few times. Steve Perez's car. It's blue though.

That is more than likely the stratos rehash/copy made in the UK for cheap enough

    HF Hawk or something

You're probably right.. there's a HF logo on the door - still looks cool though :)

Not sure about any rally, I thought I was seeing things when it was on the road in North Cork this evening.

Cool machine, no hitch though. :D

Rally book launch on down in Clonakilty tonight could have been on its way down there for it.

Use 0000 steel wool and autosol. Keep it lubricated to prevent damage.

Oh and ask in the detailing thread as I may be wrong...
Id stay away from a wire brush. Itd be difficult to use on the exhaust and may cause damage.

  • Registered Users Posts: 7,292 ✭✭✭Supergurrier

I use autosol on a microfibre cloth along with superfine 1000+ grit sponge sandpaper block things, works well.

A wire brush will leave bad marks that will be a nightmare to get rid of.

Use as little abrasiveness as possible. First off, use 2000 grit sandpaper to remove the main crap, then when you think you've removed all of it and the surface is smooth, give it a clean with fairy liquid.

Then use a metal polish with cotton pads. You can get these in Dunnes or Tesco, they're the things women use to remove nail polish.

    Better advice than mine anyway....:pac:
