    Absolutely nothing :)
She's parked up outside the house, I plan on selling it, buying an 850 or 540 or something else cool and high powered and RWD, then putting the carina as my daily.

While I may be missing a joke as I havent been following this, if you are really following through with this then there is surely no need to save pennies on something as mind numbing as a NA 2.0 diesel Carina when you could have a "fun but cheap" diesel in the form of a remapped 2.4JTD Alfa.

    http://cars.donedeal.ie/cars-for-sale/2001-alfa-156-jtd-diesel/5387021

Common Rail, a turbo (!), remaps to 200bhp, sounds excellent (for a diesel) as its a 5pot, lots of torque in a featherweight body, high 40's MPG, great interior, super cheap. If it was RWD we all would have them, but as a daily slugger that wont kill you with boredom (or "No Im not a retired taxi driver" embarrassment) its top tier.

The point of the Carina is that it's rough and agri as all hell.
He's been going mad to get an NA diesel for ages now behind the scene... Don't ask, we don't know. :p

The joke is that it's got 420k miles on the clock and he wants to play the 'how long does it take to kill a diesel Toyota game.' :D

After you have screwed up the fuel pump 3/4 of a turn, and drive everywhere with plumes of black smoke out the back!

Ah it is just cool because it is so crap and rusted and has 420k miles on the clock. Not to do with saving pennies (with the 700 tax and 320 insurance and 750 purchase price it wouldnt save me any money this year anyway), just the fact it is so felty!

Big plans ahead for that car!

Obligatory pic, heres the truck from today:

I think i remember you saying you worked on the 7 in your drive. You appear to have acquired some decent garage space since.

Years back indeed, have since moved house and work on the cars at a different premises altogether.
