Picked this up recently, a nice clean corolla saloon. 2 owners from new and in great condition getting a bit grubby now though and really could do with a wash.

    Nice one!

Check oil levels frequently (even once a week). Some of them burn a bit too much of it. ;)

I would be checking weekly anyway regardless. It is burning a bit Roughly 1 litre per 3000 miles which I don't consider significant.

I hope to drive yours one day and then decided if I regret not buying one.

Not my car but my Granddads but I drove it for the first time on Sunday. Much easier to drive than I thought it would be! TBH I was very nervous about driving it but it was very forgiving and easy once you get used to the non-assisted brakes :)

    Absolutely stunning MG!

I've only been looking at automatic GTs recently myself.

TBH it's far from stunning but it is in reasonable condition. My Granddad is the second owner, he bought it when it was just 5 months old! It's been garaged every night since he got it pretty much and was used daily up until the late '80's. Then it was stored in the garage until about 10 years ago when it was re-sprayed and the interior was re-trimed. It then went back into storage about 5 years ago (due to his bad health) but over the last while myself, my uncle and my granddad have worked to get it back on the road. Yesterday was it's first outing :)

Dick-ish parking, I know, but my reverse didn't want to work and my girlfriend wouldn't get out and push in into a space >.<
I heard people in a hotel I was staying in say nice things about it yesterday :)

Must be over a year now since I put it on Donedeal!

The Wolseley is a great car, but that Alto is genuinely the best car I've ever owned. It was just amazing. I'd pay a lot to have it back again.

700-odd cc's of fury. It was a proper trolley on wheels but I loved it!

Where have you been shopping? I thought all trolleys had wheels.

But nah, it's a nice little car. Would've been better if the engine was a bit bigger, but you know... Japs and their kei car standards.

The engine was fine in that car, it really was tiny so you'd probably struggle to get anything bigger in!

I just looked it up... the one you had came with 796cc 40 horsepower engine. :P

Some of the horsepower die overtime too. What was the mileage on it, do you know?

Awh. Went on the search for my old cars on DD. Previously found my old A3, not much had changed in it, but today, I found my first car. My old Civic.

    Now:

    27710732.jpeg

Plenty of changes. New exhaust, new allows (and 1 steely), new headlamps, missing numberplate on front & changed font on the back, tinted windows.... and a baby seat.

Kept my Sony Radio though :D
