lovely motor. Let us know what sort of real world mpg you get from her

Thanks. The computer says 17.7 - 18.1 mpg, no matter what way it's driven - on that basis I should really be pushing it all the time to get my money's worth. In reality I'd say it's less than that. It burns through a tank in no time. First weekend I got it I spent €160 on petrol! (I did drive to Rosslare for the fun of it).

420km per tank of E85. Disaster. (52ltr tank). 20.4MPG or so. Ok you can claim 20% Vat back from the Government but still. A 1200km diesel tank would be better economy. Boss is not car orientated. He pulled up the other day with a sidelight and headlight blown(same side). I said I would change it with the many spares I have. He said "It's going for a service the week after next so I will get it done then"......................

I spoke about the corroding alloys(getting worse) and the MPG. He does not seem interested.

Cheers. Have it in the back of mind to switch the 535d for an M5 at some stage but doing over 500kms per week means it doesn't really make sense. Still want to though.

You've done a lovely job with it! Like yourself I had a pretty bog standard first car, loved taking care of it though and trying to make it look that bit nicer.
