I think you'll find an Octavia is a far superior car. The TDi would be faster and do 70mpg AND it has a huge boot:D

I hope no evil super villain ever gets his hands on an Octavia because they are so powerful he could use one to destroy the Earth!

I got badly cut up by a dik in a spanking new white VRS on the N4 on Saturday. Channel 4 add style (dropping 2 lanes to exit at Lucan). I've lost all respect for them now that they've attracted knobs. ;)

Same parent company so presumably no difference inside or in power, etc.

Murcielago would be to slow now.
And as for the Octavia, Diesel is the juice of Devil!!
BTW, I'm dealing with a guy from Dublin for a Nissan Almera 1.5 2005.

I used to watch Everybody Loves Raymond every morning for about a year and that used to depress me!

    750 notes :D

Will get the megs etc at it and re-post

edit: - It has been introduced to the cavernous potholes of North Kildare for the first time in its life I'd say. Very slight feedback from the front off-side when going through rough patches. Nothing I can't handle I reckon. Glides like on air otherwise.

Definitely. Although, sadly, some of my more 'expensive' motors are rapidly becoming candidates for bangernomics. Swings and roundabouts.

@ E39MSport.....Love it and at that price you have to have a grin on your face!

tbh - as soon as I drove it I knew it was running very well. Haven't looked underneath it properly yet :o I'll be flushing all fluids etc anyway. Might need to replace a ball joint or bushing on off-side. I usually rebuild the suspension on my cars anyway. I have 'til July to sort her out if needed.

I must say, I've been like a cheshire cat since I picked it up. It really is in cracking shape for the money. Can't believe it :D

Update on the LS400 (the one for 750 sheets)

Interior stripped. I only wanted to remove the old phone kit but though 'what the smeg - I'll keep going'. Left the roof liner and most of the dash in place. The explosives warning on the seatbelts made me think twice but I took them out and washed them anyway.

Stuff all over the house: -

Currently running a dehumidifer. Putting it back together later today.

Lovely motor. Must be one of the last imported. Engines a gem in those for a N/A four.

Here is my trusted steed after 10 hours of Endurance Trials (its defo "not rallying" btw). How it survived with any sump guard or without any modifications is a testiment to FIAT`s build quality. The car was well worth 400e, did a entire event complete with entry fee and car for less than 900e!

Completely stock, how we laughed as we passed broken down VW`s and Hondas :)

Off topic, sorry but I passed a load of cars coming through Slane yesterday evening all covered in mud and with those endurance stickers on them. Saw Your car too I think....
