Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Pats with a late goal that could be crucial in their survival this season. I'd say Waterford are kicking themselves that they couldnt hold on.

You haven't won since July though, back when the sun was shining and half the country were away enjoying their holidays. Seems so long ago now...

    ;)

    lol! touche! :D

    Incredible win for Harps tonight.

    FINN HARPS 5 - 0 LONGFORD TOWN
    Finn Harps hammered mid-table Longford
Town 5-0 at Finn Park to boost their
hopes of staying in the Premier
    Division.

Harps are bottom of the league but are
now just three points behind Waterford
with four games to play and the Donegal
side has a much better goal difference.

Longford started the better but Harps
took the lead with a cracking shot from
Kevin McHugh from just inside the box.

Conor Gethins then bagged a second for
Harps after good work by Shaun McGowan
and Chris Breen on the right flank.

Harps got a touch of good fortune for
the third after Stephen O'Brien let the
ball slip from his grasp and Breen
skipped around him before finishing off
    the post.

Incredibly, the home side then added a
fourth on 41 minutes as McHugh pounced
again to fire the ball into the roof of
the net after a terrible mix-up in the
    midlanders defence.

Both sides had chances to score in an
open second half before Harps added the
icing to the cake as Breen broke on a
counter-attack to slip the ball through
    O'Brien's legs for number five.

    Limerick FC 1 - 1 Sligo Rovers
    Galway United 3 - 1 Dublin City :)
    Cobh Ramblers 0 - 2 Kilkenny City :D

Rovers are two points clear of Ramblers with a game in hand. Next up for Rovers is a trip to Kildare County tomorrow and then it's the match of the season. The promotion battle between Sligo Rovers and Cobh Ramblers in the Showgrounds on Saturday 29th October. If the Rovers wins, we should have the First Division sewn up.

I wish i could be there to see it......

NO passion or apparent lack of giving a damn from half the team out for longford. Terrible result and performance if you could even call it that. :(
