    You dont really need to know these details, just need software, for example the other day I bought a label pack in pc world & it came with software called mediaface, does all the sizing, add images text etc, excellent program & well worth it. (it was like a 15 quid pack)

    hope thats of some help.

    Not sure about other software but Photoshop at least will let you choose inches as a document measurement.

    yeah i have some software thing like that alright, but when it re-sizes sometimes it looks dodgy so i just wanted to know the exact dimensions so know how much space i actually have to work with.

    i will measure one of my albums and then use photoshop, never thought of that!!!

    cheers lads

    Hi there,

    The measurements for an album insert/cover are:
    Width = 4.75" inches (120.65mm)
    Height = 4.719" inches (119.855mm)

    You can enter these measurements in inches or millimetres in Photoshop when you create a new document, but make sure and use a resolution of at least 300dpi (dots per inch) if the cover is planned for printing, 300 dpi is pretty much the standard resolution used when printing, unlike web based images, which are 72dpi.

    In pixels an album cover would be 1425 pixels (width) by 1416 pixels (height), that’s the image size you get when you create a document of 4.75 inches by 4.719 inches at 300dpi in Photoshop.

    Hope that helps.
