Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Newcastle vs Sunderland is already on and sounds like a cracker. 4 goals in seven or eight minutes minutes.

Ameobi put Newcastle ahead in the 33rd, Lawrence equalised in the 34th, then Ameobi scored again in the 36th and now Elliott has just equalised in the 40th.

Second half should be good. And we still have Boro vs. West Ham, Chelsea vs. Everton and Bolton vs West Brom to come today.

Elliot - goal of the month.

Sunderland got 2 crackers from outside the box. 4 goals in 10-12 minutes

Great game so far, could be destined for legend status. Hopefully it'll finish 4-3 or 5-4! Elliots goal was incredible, definite contender for goal of the month.

Good to see him scoring again. If he keeps going like that, Sunderland may go down but he'll be staying in the PL.

I'll post up the goal after full-time.

    Sir Matt! Cheers!

Disgraceful booking for Parker, never a yellow card. The referee gave him a yellow even though Carr commited the foul.

    C'mon Newcastle!

I'm only cheering them because Souness said he'll probably get sacked if they lose .... meaning he'll be looking for a new job ... and guess which team needs a new manager atm .... and knowing our luck.

    C'mon Newcastle!!!

"Decade of great goals" is the name of the programme.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 22,251 ✭✭✭✭Lemlin

Emre has just added a third for Newcastle and this sounds like "Derby of Great Goals" here!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 15,117 ✭✭✭✭MrJoeSoap

Yeah it was a superb free-kick. Curled around the wall but on the inside rather than outside.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 22,251 ✭✭✭✭Lemlin

Bolton vs. West Brom has just kicked off and Joey O'Brien has started again in midfield for Bolton.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 15,117 ✭✭✭✭MrJoeSoap

Elliot just hit the bar with a wonderful effort.

Yep, isn't it great that he's suffering so badly? I know alot of people wish Chelsea bad but that's going a bit far.

Plus its fairly well known that Terry-Gallas is a much better centre back partnership than Terry-Carvalho statistic wise.

Hmm, after yesterdays results its very important that CHelsea lose.
    Hmmmm :/

Don't kid yourself. Chelsea have won the league already. The best we can hope for is that they actually lose one game... or maybe even just draw one. Yeah 1 drawn game, I'd settle for that.

I'd agree, they were nigh on unstoppable in the league last year and they've greatly improved their team now.

David Weir went very close to scoring, but to be honest its probably better for Everton that he didn't.

The worst thing they could do is annoy the beast.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 15,117 ✭✭✭✭MrJoeSoap

    Peno Everton!

THAT is how you take a penalty.

West Ham 2-0 up against Middlesborough. Sheringham 65 mins) and Riggott OG (73 mins). Another good win for West Ham.

They and Wigan are doing very well. I can't see either returning to the first Division. Strange when you think Sunderland won the First Division and they're doing poorly.

2 Irish scoring for Sunderland, Joey O'Brien starting for Bolton after Stephen Ireland dominated the midfield against Arsenal yesterday. What a difference a couple of weeks makes. :) I believe Elliott could have had a hattrick. Cheers for the highlights Joe.

Am I right in thinking O'Brien is playing right back for Bolton?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,589 ✭✭✭✭Necronomicon

G'wan the Beattie. Won't see a better penalty.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 22,251 ✭✭✭✭Lemlin

I still predict Chelsea to win.

No bother. Don't forget Morrison scoring yesterday (and last Saturday) and Kevin Doyle's performance last week. Pity we aren't playing Switzerland next week, things may have been different.

Bolton 1-0, Nakata (80 mins). His first goal for them I think.

Yobo with a great block to prevent Chelsea equalising. Chelsea do tend to be at their best after they concede.

Ferrari on for injured Valente (I think). Everton have done very well.

Middlesborough have pulled one back through Queudrue.

Bolton 2-0, Kevin Nolan (90 mins).

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 15,117 ✭✭✭✭MrJoeSoap

Apparently the second West Ham goal was dubious, not over the line.

    Lampard with a screamer.

Andy Gray after the goal: "What a hit... WHAT a hit"

Now I reckon Martin Tyler killed Andy Gray five years ago and now they just use a soundboard of his recordings to cover it up. I'm off to the conspiracy theories forum.

[edit - Drogba with a goal unfairly disallowed for offside.]

SWP off, Gudjohnsen on. Robben still on the bench. Has Mourinho taken a disliking to him after comments he made earlier this season about the rotation policy or is he carrying a knock?

Haven't a clue, its hard to know what to think with Chelsea these days, Gray and Tyler were saying how they doubted Carvalho had an injury at all.

Heres Robben now, on for Cole. Gudjohnsen did the business vs Bolton last week, maybe thats why he was first on.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 22,251 ✭✭✭✭Lemlin

Drogba just had a goal ruled off-side that they reckon was on-side here. Bit of luck for Everton, they could do with it.

Definitely onside, no question. Great play by Lampard to set it up, he's pulling the strings as ever.

He's only back from injury but he's now 4th choice winger.
