Front page is displaying incorrect info

    For some reason, the boards.ie front page, with the 20 most recent posts, no longer displays the most recent poster and time of the post, instead it displays the user who started the thread under "user" and the start date and time of the thread under "date". Is this intentional? And if so, why?

    it's done by RSS which isn't as quick with the updating as the old system.

    the RSS system is only temporary as cloud said.

    Regi added some new indexes; also we had a load of forumid != 'X' checks to make sure that some forum threads aren't displayed (Private etc.), and I changed that to a group IDs in a NOT IN SQL statement.

    NOT IN used to be slower than a LEFT OUTER JOIN but i think they've fixed that now. The inequality operator is non-sargable.
