Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Seems like a good deal for the price!

It's the same laptop that ALDI is currently selling in Germany. In this case ALDI is better than LIDL because LIDL only sells the old model laptops here. Good value indeed, nice processor, huge RAM, and huge HD.

Its almost exactly the same as the gericom one I got in Aldi a few months back for €100 more, except that its got a better soundcard and an ATI X700 instead of Nvidia 6600go and the fancy fingerprint scanner. As far as I can tell, all the other hardware is the same spec. Looks like a good deal for €1400.

The battery in my one lasts 2 and a half hours... A lot less if you play games on battery though, as the graphics card really sucks up the juice if you turn off its powersaving features (and is horribly slow when powersaving is on -- anyone who plays games on a laptop without ac power is a mentalist).

    F*ckers.
A month after I get my laptop they get that one in.
Looks like a great buy, especially compared with the one in Lidl the other week.

Yeah, those Thursday specials are once offs. Once they're gone, they're gone. Worth going to your local store to find out though, sometimes they will take orders on expensive items like the laptops.

failing that, they usually have a laptop offer about once every 6 months.
