I've been getting this error message whenever I connect to the net over the last few days:

MMTASK caused an invalid page fault in
    module MMTASK.EXE at 0137:00409886.

I'm using Win95B on an Intel P200 MMX w/64mb RAM. Nothing is being overclocked. Anyone know what the problem is?

Well, Obviously your er...Mmtask is,em, Broken. Yes, that's it.

Sorry mate, nothing specific. But this is usually a multimedia problem. Most commonly something to do with your vidcard drivers. But is it happening when you dial or connect? If dial, you could make sure you have no driver/resource issues with your modem. (Maybe reinstall TCP/IP)
If connect, is it when you open IE or any app?
If IE. I'd reinstall the vid drivers, try disabling internet sounds etc. even clear all temp/history files, maybe an image from your default webpage cache is messed up.

After that it's grasp straws time.
Reinstall sound, boot up holding Shift when you get the 95 flag (To temporarily disable all startup components) and all that lurvely stuff.

Sorry I can't be more help,

Well, after a bit of poking around, I've determined that MMTASK.EXE is the Windows scheduling agent. Which I shouldn't have on Win95. It was installed by M$IE5. As far as I can tell, its only happening when I open ICQ. But I have disabled Windows running MMTASK on startup now, and it seems to have solved the problem smile.gif
