I'm working on an auto donate script which should hopefully be readdy pretty soon which can if you want auto donate from your account straight to the gang. I heard webs changing the donations next round from money to drugs for some reason.

I left because it was getting me down with all the inactives in our gang and nothing been done about it,
But now with logic taking action by kicking out guys I'd like to return.
I now have 105 doctors and 250 penthouses..and 40k hoes.
Earning 200k a turn...12 million an hour.

A guy from UK was getting obscene amounts of money early on due to this donating bug..
Not sure how it works..but I can only guess why that idea was put forward?.

Nemesis when your finished taking cheap shots at me if you wanted to join then apply on gang-wars. Boards isn't where you apply to join the gang. After making the drops yesterday in my four accounts in the boards I received NO attacks last night. Not one. I had 15 million in each account today and 180 million in the gang fund.

Buying barracks first is not the way to go if you want to win. It is much too slow. The method is to build string thugs then buy casinos while building up enough cash to buy barracks but everybody has to donate. Alot of it was my fault as I didn't drop players earlier.

I have realised you have to continually review players and not take the attitude of leaving them in to recover. As soon as a player is weakened he must be dropped. This isn't a personal thiong against any of you as some of you seem to think it is. I have dropped some of my own chars on occasion and left them back in when they were strong enough.

Now for those of you that are unclear as to what went wrong here's my take on it.

Two weeks into the round we were leading. I was in 1st with 9 or 10 days and all the rest of you were extremly strong. It came about that DivX had developed a method of cheating but they had told people that their strategy was to buy as many casinos as possible with everyone donating then buy barracks. They were tearing away from us earning million upon millions every hour. They were able to buy 25 casinos an hour at one stage.

I quickly decided that if we wanted to keep up this is the strategy that TheBoards would have to employ so I went about asking all of you to donate everything you had. I myself donated about 300 million and dropped from 2nd place to 1,500.

I was in constant discussion with Web and Poison-X and others about how well DivX were doing so Web went and checked out their accounts. It turns out one of the DivX members whom I know quite well had written a script which enabled DivX members to gain massive amounts of cash just by spending turn.

It simply spent 2 turns at a time but so quickly that the cash from the previous turns they spent was doubled with the next two turns they spent up to a maximum of ten or so turns. So basically they could spend 10 turns in units of two with their cash gained from each turn of two doubling with each turn up to 10.

Web decided and quite rightly that this was in fact cheating and as is the rules he went about reseting the game.

The game was reset to back before we donated everything so everybody got their cash back. I put the word out that we should not keep following the same tactics but due to alot of you either not signing up to the mailing list or basically not having good lines of communication within the gang the message must not have gotten through to everybody. Also at this stage my brother was getting married so I had to travel to his wedding and was unaware that Shadow had appointed me leader of the clan and that he had stepped down. This left us with no direction as I was unable to log on for 5 or 6 days. Renton phoned me after I was away for a few days and told me I was being raped so I gave him my password to donate everything.

I was unaware that the rest of you were still donating to the gang as I was under the impression ye knew the tactics were to keep your money and steadily build.

When I came back we were in an unrecoverable position.

Maybe this is all mostly my fault I'll let ye decide that for yourselves. I do know that my personal tactics for next round will be alot different as you live and learn. I'm as of yet unsure as to whether I want to be a part of boards for the next round as all I've heard from the gang is constant bitching. I have asked all of you several times to sign up to the mailing list yet very few of you are on it and even fewer use it. It is our only strong form of communication but your lax attitudes to communicating and to putting effort into cohesion within the gang is very apparent yet still ye complain constantly to me that everythinbg isn't going right and I'm using incorrect tactics and your previous gangs were better.

I did what in my opinion was the best course of action for the gang at large. I don't have any preference for certain member as you will see I dropped some of my own chars and even dropped shadow.

I treat everyone alike. I sit in #gang-wars on IRC for up to 10 hours every day. I've read all the tactics sites and I've spoken at length with the winners of previous rounds and with the top gangs every round. I also speak to web most every day and find out as much as I can about GW.

I'm going to think long and hard about whether I want to lead TheBoards again next round. If I don't I'm sure there will be several others who would volunteer to lead it. Maybe ye could have a vote about who ye would like appointed leader I'm not sure what way ye want to handle it.

I have tried my best this round and as I have explained there is a series of incidents which led up to us dropping rank and losing position.

As I said we have all learned a great deal this round. It was the first round for alot of you and as such such be put down to experience.

Now it is up to you people to decide what direction you want to take with the gang for the Next Round.

To drive home what logic1's saying .. the reason for theBoards not doing so well was not because of anyone who was there .. it was because of those who weren't ..

If ppl dont want to play it, I'd have thought they'd have had the common curtesy to quit the gang until they want back in and can play.

Since the cleanout, the number of attacks has dropped dramatically .. ppl have more thugs to defend because they're not sending out thugs to ppl not there who have casino money stocking up. Therefore they themselves dont become as much of targets.

There should be some simple rule, 1500k turns and you get kicked .. or you leave voluntary until you'll be active again.

Its that simple ..

A planned gang would be helpful, but since we're not near the top atm, it doesnt matter so much .. but if we were no2 or something .. staged attacked on the no.1 gang would be turfwar them and drug love them before attacking with thugs ..
Where 3 players can help to cripple a target. Thats the way its meant to be, but its very hard to do this when everyone just stops playing and stays in the gang

The theory behind that stratagey was sound but as a gang stratagy for TheBoards gang in practice I dont think it would ever have worked tbh. Firstly TheBoards had a good few members who were either pimps or dealers and therefore no matter how often they logged on couldnt possibly have defended the casino income.

Also what needs to be taken into consideration is the fact that altho at the start of this round our mems were mainly fairly active, this level of activity translated to logging in about twice a day. Once we started to get a decent amount of casinos (after I stepped down as leader) I was checking my account around twice a day and I was still checking in to find huge amounts of cash in my account. To go the casino route everyone needs to be checking their accounts at the very outside once every two hours imho.

This is the main reason I stepped down tbh. I got sick and tired of spending hours and hours on gw irc and on their forums talking to anyone who knew anything about the game to learn as much as possible so that I could pass it on to you guys, which I then tried to do on quakenet irc for hours at a time.

When I made a tactical decision I got moaned at. The really annoying thing is that every single person in the gang at the time had been warned that the action I took would happen if certain criteria (all of which were very achievable) werent met. Yet still moan moan moan.

Games are supposed to be fun. Even if you are the person with all the responsibility. It wasnt so I stopped.

I got dropped. After everything that I did for the gang, ie - Donated my own money for some of the guys who were really playing hard, in order to give the gang an edge, made the web page, guided players who needed it and asked and led the gang (with help) into first place in HK and fourth overall.

Yet you dont see me coming onto the boards moaning and bl33ting about it. I deserved to be kicked. It was unintentional that I got into the position I was in as I was unable to access the net for three days, but that doesnt change the facts.

I know that logic dropped me because he felt he had to for the sake of the gangs greater good. In fact if he hadnt I would regret having handed over the reigns to him in the first place.

I cant blame you tbh. I am still considering whether to even play next round. When you have all calmed down with the moaning and bleeting just take stock of the situation and remember we had something pretty great for a while this round but there is no way in hell that would have come about without logic's or my input and ridicuous amounts of hours spent on the game.

Dont get me wrong, it was the team effort and I am in no way trying to take away from that.

This round got fvcked up for us by a few unfortunate events, perhaps a bad decision or two along the way, perhaps not. Everyone makes mistakes and everyone probably did this round, the important thing is to learn and use them to make you better next round.

Last round I slipped up a tiny bit..(compared to what happened this month)...
And was attacked...
Either get the password of all members...or kick anyone who doesnt sort them selves out.
Check out a few of the posts over the month...the slaughter of our team was predicted....
I spent 4 days donating..and saving turns so I could get a few thugs up...
I eventually got about 8000 thugs..and all were hammered in 2 days...

If you got into TheBoards under some alias it was my mistake for letting you in but basically your one person I will not let into Boards in the future and would not have let in, in the past.

Nemesis I put around a mail on the mailing list stating the reason why I wanted everyone to donate. I then went into IRC and spoke to everyone I could see that this affected. I don't think I've ever seen you on IRC and I'm not sure if you even read the mailing list mail. How else am I supposed to contact you? There's only so much I can do.

Greenhell was one of the members I spoke to on IRC about donating, also Renton, shadow and anyone else I can easily contact.

But you must understand we need good lines of communication. Also in my previous post you'll notice after Web reset the game I asked people to stop donating that our strategy would go back to our previous one of simply building up gradually and maintaining our lead position. Unfortunately as I have already explained real life got in the way and I was away for a few days. This is why I missed your "predictions" on boards as I simply didn't have access to them and was unaware that I was appointed leader.

Shadow was still leader on the day I left.

And Shadow is right leading the GW gang is nothing but hassle. Shadow made a web site which I doubt most of you even looked at. I didn't see one post thanking shadow for putting his time and effort into it. I created a mailing list and then had to spoon feed people to get them to sign up to it which most of you still haven't done. Myself and Shadow spent hours on IRC trying to get people together and trying to get mail addresses for people. Renton got us a community board which alot of people never even looked at.

The only thing ye seem to be good at is complaining that the gang is being run incorrectly.

Next round persoanlly I think Nemisis or Carnate should take over the gang one as leader the other as co as ye both seem to be some of the most active people in the gang.

Ye both have strong ideas on how things should be run and I'm sure ye have the time and resources to put into the game to make sure it is followed through.

So if anyone disagrees or agress please post here.

I nominate Carnate and Nemesis to take over as of now it simply is no fun for me to even play GW anymore in my current situation.

Also on a side note since I did clear out people I haven't been attacked once in the last three days.

Nemesis as for you applying on boards to rejoin GW I have stated several times till I'm blue in the face anyone that gets kicked should reapply straight away. As soon as your character is no further risk you can be assured you would be allowed reentry into the gang.

i dropped MYSELF from boards because i was receiving 25 attacks per day and i hadnt got a chance to rebuild, but now im getting back i have almsot 10k og's and im gonna re-apply to theboards.

I play every day during the week, doing arts in college allows for a lot of free time

Logic and shads, i thought you did a bang up job trying to get the gang together. Perhaps your screening of members should have been a bit more tight but stuff happens.

1) i left the boards gal and joined a much better gal, and they have never had a problem with me. Now im in a gal that was top5 last round and I can join either fury,legion,nos or xanadu.

Well actually, i got ****ed in PA rather bad b/c the gal was basically inactives with mills/kegser/rich active

And Shadow is right leading the GW gang is nothing but hassle. Shadow made a web site which I doubt most of you even looked at. I didn't see one post thanking shadow for putting his time and effort into it. I created a mailing list and then had to spoon feed people to get them to sign up to it which most of you still haven't done. Myself and Shadow spent hours on IRC trying to get people together and trying to get mail addresses for people. Renton got us a community board which alot of people never even looked at.

In PA, make a gal with the best people you can get to join, in GW make a gang with people you got on with and like.

Whitelancer as for you I have absolutely no interest in anything you have to say. Keep your comments to yourself. Your nothing but an abusive little kid.
