hOPE its a bit better than the last few songs on mesmerize though.

Start of mesmerize rocked but the end left a lot to be desired , for me anyway , cant wait though , system Rock!!

Yeah - the last couple of tracks on Mesmerize weren't great at all, but I don't like the sound of their new single either...

Yesterday I preordered with cdwow. As a CD WOW member I got a mail with a link[/URL] for a voucher so decided to order.

The link generated a voucher valued "€12.99, €2.00, €1.00 or 50c!". I received a €1 one. I won't provide the link as it was specifically for my membership account and probably wouldn't work for others.

You mean they took one album, and are making you pay €25 (in a normal shop) twice to get it all! How nice of them! :rolleyes: But its cool cuz noone's ever done it before?

i thought mesmerize was very good but i stil aint bought it. i guess ill get the two of them together now.not a fan of the new song from the album though.a bit dull i though.

I though they were bringing out a double addition Mezmerize/Hypnotize version aswell....

they probably will, for moolah. Still love them, but it all seems so money hungry.
The new single sounds amazing.

I origionally thought it was very greedy for them to bring the albums out seperatly but after hearing that they did it to get out of their recording contract -thats a pretty smart move on their part.

thing is if Hypnotise is in anyway shorter they could have put it on 1 disc. thats what annoys me. the utter shortness of it all

Yes it has...it's been done by loads of people....most recently by Nelly.
They said themselves the idea was to save fans having to pay 30 or 40 for a double album.

I think it's a cash in.

Mezmerize was good but I was still dissapointed and I don't liek the new single at all, so I'll just have to wait and see.

Yeah, now they can pay 25 quid twice for what is essentially the same album. :rolleyes:

Toxicity is the only album. The only reason i like mezmerize is coz iwas after paying 20 euro for it and had to listen to it. Now i like it. it may not be as heavy as their last albums but im sure the new one will be good. If you like system youll get to like their album.

I got Mezmerize copied....I guess that's why I don't hate it.
I'd be raging if I had paid 25 euro for it though.

I got toxicity in 2001 and instantly loved it from the very first drum of prison song. Then instantly bought the first album, which was even better!!! I tuned down the top string of my guitar and never looked back since until I bought mesmerize, put it in the radio and seen 35 mins staring back at me, I couldn’t believe they could puke on the microphones and put it on a cd, like surely if your gonna bring out a double cd, then make them two good ones.

Yes it grows on you and yes I do enjoy listen to it, bit apart from maybe two songs it is shocklingly terrible. SOAD create addictive catchy rock but this is terrible, when I first heard lost in Hollywood I cringed when I heard “put your hands up in the air………..” and said no GOD NO GOD, PLEASE ALLAH, SUPERMAN, RADIOACTIVE MAN, ANYONE NO and then yes serj said those horrible words to complete the cheesiest line ever by saying “wave them like you just don’t care “ I vomited and had a cold shower, turned it on again, listened it again ( strange how I actually had time to have a shower and listen to album twice in nearly less than an hour!) it still sounded like ****e!!!

Anyway then I went to see them in Brixton academy in june bank holiday and prayed all the way over that they would be very light on the new album, they played I think 5 tracks and all was forgiven, these guys know how to rock and put on a good show. What they don’t know how to do is interact with the crowd verbally too much but they do look like they enjoy performing and they performed very well. I didn’t want to be preached to anyway just rocked out and that they did!!

Came home and listened to new album again, gave out about how they screwed me charging for it when they could have put what will sadly be only 4 good tracks on the new album on it to save the bother of buying two albums but I enjoy the album, just because of the intro to the album is the intro to the concert and by Christ when the first few bars of bring your own bombs went up I have to admit the 16hour bus journey I took to London was worth it ( long story, but my storys long enough so I think il leave it at that seen as nobody will be reading it down to here id just like to say –watch wigan!!)

Gotta agree with Gucci there , any song after the first 4 made me crinch , I stuck those four onto the laptop and havent even put the cd in since , I was terrible disapointed and if the new ones anything like that Ill be disapointed yet again.

I've pre-ordered Hypnotize on http://www.play.com and it's a dual disc (one side audio/one side video). Can't wait despite the fact I was slightly disappointed by Mesmerize!

I never really saw why people didnt like mezmerize,i mean i'll admit its not their best album,but i still thought i was brilliant. It was different but that didnt bother me.i still think they're great

I think that's a bit harsh, I think Radio/Video, Sad Statue and Violent Pornography are very good tracks. Mesmerize took SOAD in a new direction, no arguing it, and there is substantial filler on Mesmerize (I'd put the length without filler at about 24 mins) but I would still say its better on the whole than their first album, and overall I quite like it.

While the words aren't great, I think BYOB and Revenga are a fantastic duo of tracks, perfectly paced and great for a bit of a headbang

Ah I just wasnt keen at all on the end of the album , Twas a bit slow for me or something .
Id defo disagree that its better than the first , the first was so heavy it was brilliant!
I rather there more heavy fast stuff so thats probably why I wasnt keen on the end of mesmerize.

id put the length of filler as 24 minutes:mad:
new dierction maybe but a direstion south, it sucks, im still gonna give the new one a realistic unbiased listen and try but if it horrifies me like the first listen to mesmerize i mite just lose the plot!!

Imo, if they loaded Mezmerize with filler, then I expect Hypnotize to be equally loaded with filler.
