    I noticed the new TOTD feature in the drop-down menus there recently (at least I think it's new, I never noticed it before the upgrade). Does anybody know how threads get selected for it ? Are they based on posts, views, ratings, is somebody selecting them, purely random etc ?

    No particular reason for asking, I just haven't noticed any pattern to them yet, and I'm nosy. Whichever way it works, it's a good feature anyway, it's pointed me at a few threads I probably wouldn't have noticed otherwise.

    I see its chosen completely randomly. Shouldn't people be able to vote for their fave thread of the past 24 hours and that becomes the thread of the day?

    The only people who bother voting on threads populate After Hours anyway, so it'd be just tripe.
