Hand drawn manga thing

I drew this awhile back and i only got it scanned in yesterday, i took it into photoshop and then did all the colours.




The character is Hitomi from 'Appleseed' aswell.

Also im not sure about the shading, is it done right? Also the face looks a bit flat, it's the first time i've done anything of the sort.

Nice. But, the shading on the face does look wrong. It's usually more noticable - the same as her top.

I 'think' i fixed the shading, i messed around with the lighting effects in photoshop.



Looks alot better, I also blurred the background so you focus more on the main image (and yeah my first time)

very nice work there dave but i know what ure problem with shading is.....
the colours u have used on the face are too similar thus making it look flat, for manga/anime drawings there should only be about 3 shades of a colour to look really good (in this case 3 shades of pink, 1 middle, 1 darker, 1 lighter) im no artist but i think thats about right
otherwise damn fine work there:D, y not try one of the robot doods from appleseed (they ROCK)

V.good Dave. I think on Meerkats website she goes into Manga shading (I could be wrong though).
