    Hi

We are looking to buy a second hand automatic car - the garage tells us that it was originally owned by a disabled guy - and that it was tax exempt. Does this status stay with the car or does it now incur tax if we as non-disabled owners purchase it?

    Thanks

The car will revert to the correct private class.

well thats not a question. the requirments for a goods vehicle are pretty small.
I.e no windows or seats behind drivers seat.

But they must be used to carry goods. You need a goods declaration also. You will have to convince a garda that your sports car is a van.

You will also need it weighed annually.
