Please bear in mind that I have no knowledge of Action Script: Problem: I want my flash animation to retrieve a random line of text from a .txt file. I'd like it to randomise every day and/or when I press a button. Can anyone help me out?

Had a good search on the net. This was the best I could do: http://64.224.111.148/forum/tutorials/dynamic_text/index.html . It shows you how to load a .txt file into a movie. Randomising might require a bit o work.

http://64.224.111.148/forums/showthread.php?threadid=89790 - looking to load random quotes from a txt file.

This won't randomise it everyday, but just whenever the script is loaded.
